What’s the Deal…
With the launch of the new Hammer & Nails location in Paradise Valley, AZ?💈

I’m a firm believer that it’s important to be a champion of whatever industry you find yourself in. For me, that’s franchising.
I’m a HUGE supporter of local franchises in my market. I go out of my way to promote them and to help their business.
Contrary to popular belief, these are not big chains run by suited up men & women in boardrooms from a distant part of the country.
Though some locations may be run by corporate, a vast majority of franchises you see are owned and operated by your neighbors, people that live and work in your community.
They’re a small business just like any other, just with a proven framework, brand, and support behind them.
So I became a member of Hammer & Nails Grooming For Men in Paradise Valley, Arizona.
Nonly do I love the end result but the experience was FANTASTIC.
They had everything figured out to the most minute of details.
Their systems & processes were on lock. I understood exactly the method behind everything they were doing.
The second you walk in the door you’re greeted by a member concierge who walks you through the entire experience, sets expectations, and introduces you to the barber.
Complimentary water, coffee, or soft drink in the member lounge each visit. Beer & wine once they get their license.
First time in? You automatically get upgraded to the premium experience. So smart. Now I’m considering upgrading my membership. That’s exactly why they do that.
My barber’s bedside manner was incredible. They hired the right teammates here. Franchises (the good ones) usually coach how to do this properly.
Throughout the experience, my barber had me try or smell different products as a “soft sell.” I loved it. I got exposed to their different retail product offerings. Great way to add incremental revenue for the franchise.
Got the whole hot towel (and then cold towel) experience. Had a personal TV to watch the Waste Managementent Open.
Total luxury experience.
At the end, I was guided to the front desk to set up my next appointment if I wanted and to tip if I would like. As a member, my card is on file, so it’s quick & easy.
Every Tuesday they automatically bump you up to the higher tier of membership services to allow you to experience “the next level.” Again, a fantastic way to soft sell an upgrade in membership, which would obviously drive additional revenue for the business.
They do the same every Wednesday for a different membership tier. Very smart to segment this and have different types of members coming in on different days.
Why do they do this? To space out the appointment bookings and fill appointment slots on days that may typically have fewer bookings. All through incentives.
Don’t use all of your membership services in a month? No problem. They follow the Massage Envy franchise model of allowing your services to accumulate and roll over to future months.
Makes sense since Aaron Meyers, the CEO of Hammer & Nails, was on the Massage Envy leadership team.
You can even gift services to family and friends.
Think you would have thought of all of this on your own? Maybe. But likely not.
This is the power of having a franchise model behind you.
Dialed-in systems & processes provided a high-end, predictable, and consistent customer experience.
If you’re in the Paradise Valley or Scottsdale area, check them out.

Client Deal of the Week

Excited for my client Jim and his new franchise journey in Exton, PA! Coming from a family of small business owners (his dad owned a business that he grew up around), Jim has had a front-row seat to the challenges and rewards of business ownership.
Jim’s main goal was to find a franchise that he could start while maintaining his current corporate career..but then transition into full-time business ownership as things ramp up over time.
Healthsource checked these boxes because of its proven 17+ year track record, simple staffing, strong financials, and incredible support.
He explored a range of franchise opportunities that I presented, from youth enrichment to fitness and even fencing brands, but ultimately decided that HealthSource offered the best combination of structure, support, and impact.

Why Healthsource?
⚡️ Fragmented industry - most chiropractic businesses are small mom-and-pop clinics with no brand, no real marketing strategy, and limited service offerings
⚡️ Reoccurring Revenue Potential - not a one and done service
⚡️ Established brand - 17 years franchising & 135+ open locations nationwide
⚡️ Built-in exit strategy through their “LEO” (Learn, Earn, and Own) model - provide a pathway for your chiropractors to partner with you on future clinics or sell your clinic to them down the road (this also helps with employee retention)
⚡️ “Forced” semi-involved ownership - only licensed chiropractors can perform the service, frees the owner up to work on the business rather than in it
⚡️ Minimal staffing / Chiropractor Recruitment help from corporate - 2 chiropractors and 1 front-desk staff is all that’s needed to run this business
⚡️ Insurance & workers compensation-based revenue helps this to be somewhat recession-resistant - not reliant on the discretionary income of the client
⚡️ FranWorth Backing - 450+ of combined franchise experience to help emerging brands scale (NFL Hall of Fame Drew Brees is a partner at FranWorth)
